CONDITIONS TO AVOID: As with all alkaline liquids, flammable hydrogen gas may be produced on prolonged contact with metals such as aluminum, zinc, tin and lead.
INCOMPATIBILITY (Material to Avoid): Acids (gelation can occur).

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD: Alkalinity of undiluted, un-neutralized material is harmful to aquatic life.
SPILLAGE: Small Quantities – mop up & flush with water.
Large Quantities: isolate if possible; otherwise protection regulations.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Small Quantities – Flush to sewer with plenty of water
Large Quantities: - Neutralize with dilute acid. Flush neutral liquid to sewer and landfill solids according to local, state & federal regulations.

INHALATION: Mist may damage respiratory tract. Exposure to aerosols should be limited to under 0.2 mg/m3.

CHRONIC HAZARD: None Known, not listed as a carcinogen by NTP or IARC.
FIRST AID PROCEDURES: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Flush skin with water. Call a physician.
